Salisbury-Rowan County Convention and Visitors Bureau

The Salisbury-Rowan County Convention and Visitors Bureau (SRCCVB) is a 501(c)6, non-profit corporation created in 2013 by two local government units (The Rowan County Tourism Development Authority and the Salisbury Tourism Development Authority).  The primary mission of the SRCCVB is economic and community development through tourism, destination marketing, and destination development. The focus of the SRCCVB is to promote the growth and development of the Visitor Industry throughout Rowan County.

The SRCCVB is governed by a 17-member board of directors whose appointment guidelines and legal authority were established upon formation and filed with the Internal Revenue Service and in the SRCCVB's Articles of Incorporation. The SRCCVB operates with an annual budget for Fiscal Year 2014-15 of $734,700 consisting primarily of tax revenue generated by a 3% Rowan County occupancy tax and a 3% City of Salisbury occupancy tax.

SRCVB Board Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 12 Noon in the Gateway Building, 204 East Innes Street, Salisbury, NC.  SRCVB is specifically focused on attracting new overnight visitors to Rowan County who utilize local accommodations because overnight visitors generate a greater economic impact.

The SRCCVB manages the Gateway Building, the Rowan Arts Council, and the F&M Bank Trolley System. The Rowan Arts Council serves to promote and sustain one of Salisbury-Rowan County’s most vital resources — the visual and performing arts. The F&M Bank Trolley System is an enterprise operation that operates two motorized trolleys which are rented for tours, groups, events and other group transportation needs. The Gateway Building houses the SRCCVB, Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Commission, Downtown Salisbury inc., The LandTrust for Central North Carolina and Communities In Schools.
