Joe Falocco performs "Shakespeare's Villains"
7/8/2010 - 7/10/2010
Looking Glass Artist Collective's Black Box Theatre, 405 North Lee Street
Details:

Lee Street Theatre will present veteran actor Joe Falocco (it rhymes with Morocco) in a  one-man show titled "Shakespeare's Villains" July 8th, 9th , and 10th at 7:30 pm in the Looking Glass Artist Collective's Black Box Theatre at 405 North Lee Street in Salisbury. Best described as "Stand-Up Shakespeare," this one-hour program is a fast-paced and frequently funny examination of Shakespeare's most evil characters. "It gives me a chance to revisit some roles I did early in my career, and to experience others I've not yet had the chance to play," says Falocco, who has performed for the Charlotte, Kentucky, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wisconsin Shakespeare Festivals. He has also worked as a stand-up comic in Washington, DC and Erie, PA. "The intimate atmosphere of the Black Box," Falocco notes, "is more like a comedy club than a traditional theatre. While 'Shakespeare's Villains' won't produce the four laughs per minute required of good stand-up comedy, I can pretty much guarantee a laugh every two minutes." "Shakespeare's Villains" contains suggestive language and sexual humor and is not appropriate for children under thirteen. Tickets on July 8th are $5. All other performances are $10.
