Description: The Heritage Room is positioned in the heart of Salisbury's downtown Historic District and offers beautiful views overlooking Easy Street, the F&M Financial Center garden, Waterworks Visual Art Center and the Trolley Barn. Conveniently located, this historic space is located in the Council Street Commons building that is centered in the first block of East Council Street. The building was originally the home of the McCanless Motor Company from 1924 to 1950 and later became a manufacturing facility for Stanley furniture. In 1996, Karen and Henry Alexander began the challenge of renovation and restoration of the building. The latest development is the 2,600 square foot Heritage Room, an excellent space for numerous types of corporate and private events. Amenities include a catering kitchen, a large coat closet, convenient rest rooms, and a 630 square foot balcony overlooking Easy Street and the surrounding area. The Heritage Room can accommodate events ranging from 100 to 250 persons.
