About Rowan County CVB

Rowan County Convention and Visitors Bureau

The Rowan County Convention and Visitors Bureau (RCCVB) is a North Carolina Public Authority established through enabling legislation from the North Carolina General Assembly.  The RCCVB is County-wide in scope, and its efforts are directed to the development of Rowan County’s potential tourism and meeting sites, including all sections and communities of the County. The RCCVB is organized to promote and encourage visitor travel activities in Rowan County, North Carolina and to assemble and disseminate information designed to maintain and further develop Rowan County’s position in the visitor industry. The RCCVB will seek out partnerships across Rowan County in order to achieve the founding purpose.

The RCCVB is governed by an 11-member board of directors whose appointment guidelines and legal authority were established by the NC General Assembly in accordance with NC Session Law 2017-202. Unless otherwise noticed, RCCVB Board Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month at 12 p.m. in the Gateway Building, 204 East Innes Street, Salisbury, NC 28144.

The RCCVB manages the Gateway Building, the Rowan Arts Council and the F&M Bank Trolley System. The Rowan Arts Council serves to promote and sustain one of Rowan County’s most vital resources — the visual and performing arts. The F&M Trolley System is an enterprise operation that operates two motorized trolleys which are rented for tours, groups, events and other group transportation needs. The Gateway Building houses the RCCVB, Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Commission, The LandTrust for Central North Carolina and Communities In Schools.
