Jiggy with the Piggy: Jiggy with the Piggy was named a top 20 event by the Southeastern Tourism Society, and it returns this May! Plan to #VisitRowanCounty in Downtown Kannapolis for barbeque and fun for the entire family.
Cheerwine Festival: You don't want to miss the 3rd annual Cheerwine Festival held in Downtown Salisbury. Enjoy ice cold Cheerwine, live musical entertainment, great Southern food, shopping, family friendly activities, a beer garden and local craft vendors.
National Train Day & Train Show: The North Carolina Transportation Museum is celebrating National Train Day by offering special train rides, tours and children's activities. The Historic Spencer Shops Train Show will feature all sorts of railroad memorabilia, model trains and much more for sale.
20th Annual Group Gold Hill Bike Ride: Group Gold Hill and Gold Hill Historic Preservation Society is hosting its 20th Annual Group Gold Hill Bike Ride. This events offers cyclists various routes through the scenic, low traffic country roads of Rowan, Stanly and Cabarrus counties.
Historic Salisbury Trolley Tour: Take a ride through Historic Downtown Salisbury and let our narrators guide you by historic sites and popular film locations. Plus discover shopping, restaurants, theaters and plenty of public art. Tours are offered every Saturday May-October.

Jazz in the Park: Kannapolis is jazzing up Sunday afternoons with a four-week jazz series. Every Sunday afternoon from 1-3 p.m., enjoy a free concert in Veterans Park.
Farmer's Markets: The China Grove Market at the Mill will be open every Friday, May through September, from 4 - 6 p.m. The Salisbury/Rowan Farmers' Market will be open every Saturday, May through September, from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
