1. Rowan Arts & Ag Farm to Table Dinner at Patterson Farm Market & Tours, Inc.
Wine and dine mom this Mother’s Day weekend with this flavorful experience at Patterson Farm on Saturday, May 12th at 5:30 p.m.! The evening will be filled with the sounds of music and the tastes of home. This five-course chef prepared meal will feature locally sourced ingredients, local wine and beer, entertainment throughout the night by the Salisbury Symphony, live art demonstrations and much more. Tickets are still available, but don’t wait! Seating is limited.
2. Historic Tours on Saturdays in Salisbury
Mom will love this step back in time in charming downtown Salisbury! First, take her for a spin on the Historic Salisbury Trolley Tour departing from the Visitors Center at 11 a.m. Narrators will guide riders by historic sites, film locations of popular movies and TV shows, and you’ll even hear a ghost story or two. After the tour, enjoy a lovely lunch at one of the many downtown restaurants and explore the boutiques and other shops. Then, take her on a tour of the beautiful Hall House, open Saturdays, 1-4 p.m. and Sundays, 1:30 – 4 p.m.
3. Gold Rush Days’ Art & Craft Festival
Come out to quaint historic Gold Hill for an entire day of local artisans, shopping, gold planning, gem mining, music and food. Festival begins at 10 a.m. and goes until 5 p.m.
4. Piedmont Players Theatre presents “Barefoot in the Park”
If your mom loves theatre, then she’ll really enjoy this live performance of Neil Simon’s longest running show at the Meroney Theater in downtown Salisbury! Remaining performances are May 11th and 12th starting at 7:30 p.m.
5. Enjoy Cool Jazz on a Warm Day in Kannapolis
Don’t miss Kannapolis’s last concert in their four-week jazz concert series on Sunday, May 13 from 1-3 p.m. in Veteran’s Park. On Mother’s Day, enjoy performances by Lovell Bradford. Bring a picnic lunch or pick up lunch from one of the participating food trucks. Concerts are free to attend.
