Lazy 5 Ranch: Meet the animals of Lazy 5 Ranch from the comfort of your air-conditioned vehicle! Lazy 5 is a privately owned exotic animal drive through park that offers a three and a half mile safari tour through gently sloping pasture lands. Trolley Tour: Hop aboard our fully air conditioned historic trolley for a history tour around Downtown Salisbury. You’ll see historic sites, such as the original Cheerwine building; film locations from popular shows and movies; and maybe hear a ghost story or two! Gem Theatre: The Gem Theatre in Kannapolis is one of the oldest single-screen movie theatre in continuous operation today. It originally opened on December 31, 1936. Dan Nicholas Aquarium & Nature Center: Dan Nicholas park is full of family fun activities, but their Cheerwine Aquarium and Nature Center are indoor attractions that will keep the whole family occupied. Rowan Museum: The Rowan Museum is housed in the historic 1854 Courthouse that survived General Stoneman’s raid in the American Civil War. South Main Book Company: South Main Book Company is an independent book store located in Historic Downtown Salisbury. They offer an assortment of genres, but what’s especially fun is their kids reading nook. Complete with a dragon and reading spaces, grab your books and gather round. The Chill: While you’re in Downtown Salisbury, stop in to the chill for a natural shaved ice with no artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners. Waterworks Visual Arts Center: Waterworks Visual Arts Center is a non-profit art museum providing a unique blend of education, inspiration, creativity and fun.
