Scrooge will act out this wonderful holiday story at historic sites in Downtown Salisbury. This is a live theater presentation you will not want to miss!

Arc of Rowan County Festival of Trees: The 15th annual Arc of Rowan County Festival of Trees will showcase a collection of beautifully decorated Christmas trees to kick off the holiday season at the F&M Trolley Barn. Explore the trees that are decorated by local sponsors and businesses.

Celebration of Lights: Visit Village Park in Kannapolis to take in more than 250,000 Christmas lights, make s’mores and more! On various nights, local community groups and musicians will be present to perform your favorite Christmas songs.

Polar Express Train Ride: Passengers of all ages will enjoy the magical retelling of the iconic holiday movie at the North Carolina Transportation Museum, The Polar Express. Hop on board the Polar Express and travel to the North Pole to see Santa hand out the first gift of Christmas.

Town of China Grove Tree Lighting: Join the Town of China Grove for caroling and hot chocolate while the town Christmas tree is lit in Hanna Park.

Lessons & Carols at Catawba College: Soak in the music of the season at Catawba College’s 31st annual Service of Lessons and Carols in the beautifully decorated Omwake-Dearborn Chapel at Catawba College.

Piedmont Players Youth Theatre presents “A Christmas Story”: Humorist Jean Shepard’s memoir of growing up in the Midwest in the 1940s follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under his Christmas Tree.

Historic Gold Hill Christmas in the Village: Experience an Old Fashioned Christmas with light refreshments in the Village Shops in Historic Gold Hill, photos with Santa, hayrides to the barn, live music, marshmallow roasting and more.

Christmas at the Hall House: Christmas decorations fill every room of the 1820’s landmark in the Historic West Square of Downtown Salisbury. Step back in time and explore the history of the Hall family while enjoying the decorative touches of the season.

80th Annual Kannapolis Christmas Parade: This special nighttime parade travels through the streets of downtown Kannapolis.

Waterworks ARTpops: Holiday Wreaths and Centerpieces: Bring the outside in this holiday season. Learn how to turn your favorite greenery into unique wreaths and centerpieces that incorporate natural textures, color and structure. Seats limited.

Christmas in the Grove: There’s a 100% chance of snow in China Grove! Bring your sled and enjoy food, hot chocolate, s’mores, fire pits, horse drawn wagon rides, caroling and more! Downtown shops will be open late to do some holiday shopping.

Nutcracker Ballet: This enchanting production is an annual holiday favorite about a little girl and her magical journey to a land of sweets.

Old Stone House Christmas: Experience Christmas like our Rowan County ancestors would have 200 years ago! Tour of the historic house and view the enactment of a colonial family’s Christmas celebration. Plus, learn about customs and participate in crafts, musket firings, woodworking, weaving, candle making, open fire cooking, and more!

New Year's Eve at the Bell Tower: Enjoy a night of free games, live music and refreshments to celebrate bringing in 2019. Held at the Bell Tower Park in Downtown Salisbury.
