Waterworks' Fall Art Exhibitions will feature works from three incredible artists. These exhibitions will include Ashleigh Coleman - Hold Nothing Back, photographs; Jane Cheek - Where We Built Our Dreams: Explorations of Belonging and Happy Spaces, mixed media installations; and Dori Settles - Shoes as Storytellers, glass.
The Salisbury Symphony Presents: "Now & Then"

The program will present a diverse array of works, primarily from living composers. The pieces on the concert will combine to create a varied sound world by exploiting the expressive capabilities of cello and flute, along with percussion instruments from marimba and gongs to flowerpots and rocks. The program features three Salisbury Symphony musicians who have each played with the Symphony for many seasons and it promises to be new, approachable, and intriguing!
Waterwork's Annual Big Chili Cook-Off

Taste and vote on the best chili recipes in Rowan County at the Annual Big Chili Cook-off Saturday, November 4, at the F&M Trolley Barn. Guests will enter the event through the front doors of Waterworks Visual Arts Center at 121 East Liberty Street in Historic Salisbury’s East Square Cultural Arts District. The Big Chili Cook-off fundraiser benefits Waterworks Visual Arts Center education and outreach programs. Music, dancing, beer, wine, fun and games! Must be 21 to attend.

Hand and Wheel is for beginning and experienced clay enthusiasts. Students can learn the fundamentals of hand building or throwing on the potter’s wheel during this session. Experienced potters can focus on enhancing their skills. Surface decoration includes slip and glazing techniques.
