Did you know that…
North Carolina has 50,218 farms?

It’s all true. Farming is a foundation of North Carolina, and in Rowan County we’re proud of our agricultural heritage. Agriculture is one of the things that makes Rowan County a true original, and over the years we’ve seen visitors to our agritourism attractions grow. We’re home to pick your own farms, roadside stands and farmer’s markets with fresh, in season fruits and vegetables along with jams, jellies and the like. You haven’t truly experienced Rowan County until you’ve eaten a basket of our fresh strawberries from Patterson Farms, visited our vineyards, done your produce shopping at the Salisbury/Rowan Farmers’ Market, attended China Grover Farmers Day or the Woodleaf Tomato Festival, the list goes on. Our farms and agritourism attractions have seasonal events and activities year-round, but we’re excited to show you just how special our agricultural roots are during Rowan Arts & Ag.
