This is one of a series of workshops for teenagers ages 14-17, hosted by the Center for the Environment at Catawba College. Participants in this workshop will learn skills helpful for adapting to challenges in wilderness survival and preparation, as well as techniques useful for studying wildlife. Modules may include, but are not limited to, orienteering, camp selection and preparation, fire starting, tracking, trapping, darting, and tagging. Participants should expect to be outdoors for the day, regardless of inclement weather, and will not have access to personal electronic devices for the duration of the camp.
