Waterworks Summer Exhibition: Color: Outside the Lines: Textiles, Paintings, Mixed Media

-Alessandra Sulpy (www.alessandrasulpy.com). An MFA graduate of the University of Indiana, Alessandra Sulpy teaches at UNC-Charlotte. This exhibit will be open only to mature audiences.

-William Paul Thomas (www.williampaulthomas.com), a Chicago native, received his MFA from UNC-Chapel Hill.

-Andrea Vail (www.andreavail.com ) holds an MFA from VCU and was a recipient of the NC Arts Council Fellowship.

-E. Angelina Woehr (www.angelinawoehr.com) is from Fayetteville. Woehr’s work is especially notable for its size and site-specific installations. She received her BFA from VCU.

The summer exhibit explores personal narratives of the four artists, the artists’ effect on an individual’s worldview, and the artists’ unique use of color in narrative. A week long residency with Woehr is proposed for middle/high school students.
