Ways to Keep Rowan County Original

During this time of uncertainty and adjustments in travel and events, we encourage you to remember that our destination is fueled by small businesses, restaurants and attractions that help our community thrive.

Our small businesses, restaurants and attractions are ensuring proper sanitation for customers and visitors, and are following guidance from public health officials regarding the cancelling or postponing of events and gatherings.

If you are unable to visit Rowan County physically, please consider supporting our small businesses, restaurants and attractions in other ways, such as:

  1. Patronize our small businesses by shopping online or via phone if available.

  2. If you typically order products with local retailers later in the year, place your orders now if possible.

  3. If you do not need anything specific at the moment but still want to support local, buy gift cards to spend later in our stores and restaurants, or at our attractions.

  4. For restaurants, order takeout or delivery and tip the same amount as you would dining in.

  5. You can buy gift cards for many local restaurants, too.

  6. Purchase season passes or advanced tickets from local attractions for future use.

  7. Share this information widely so others know how to help.

Rowan County's small businesses are the livelihood of our community, as well us what makes us an original destination. We want to make sure they continue to stay successful while maintaining appropriate public health safety measures. Many businesses are offering additional services and take out options.
